Dr. Anil Malik

• Dr Anil S. Malik maintains a private practice in Mumbai from 1977 and is also an Honorary Consultant Orthodontist at the Sir Harkisondas Hospital and Bhatia Hospital in Mumbai.
• He was a past faculty Member in both full time and later on in part time capacity at The Nair Hospital Dental College in Mumbai and also at the Government Dental College, Mumbai. He was Professor and Post Graduate Teacher of Orthodontics at the Yenepoya Dental College, Mangalore from 1996 to 2004, where he taught Begg's, St. Wire or Preadjusted Systems, and the Tip-Edge Technique .
• Dr. Malik is the only Indian to be selected and made a Diplomate of the European Begg Society of Orthodontics after a Scrutiny of his 5 Completed Cases, in 1995 in Chester, U.K.
• At the Annual Meeting of the E.B.S.O. held in Maastricht {Netherlands} Of May 1997, he was invited to deliver a Guest Lecture, on Tip-Edge. Here he won the prize for the Best Treated Non-Extraction Case.
• The 14th Australian Orthodontic Conference was held in Adelaide, Australia, in 1993, where he was awarded the Best Poster Presentation Prize for the "Combined Surgical/Orthodontic Correction of Vertical Maxillary Excess" in collaboration with his wife Dr {Mrs.} Neelima A Malik.
• He has contributed a chapter in a "Indian Text Book on Orthodontics" published in 1998, by Dr Balaji & very recently contributed two chapters in "The Textbook of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery" written by Prof. Dr {Mrs.} Neelima Malik.
• Dr Malik has over 30 Scientific Presentations as a Keynote Speaker in India & Abroad and published articles in the journals of the Indian Orthodontic Society & Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery.
• He was invited to deliver a Keynote Lecture on 31st of May 2003 on "Anterior Open Bite- A method for its correction with the Tip-Edge Technique" at the European Begg Society of Orthodontics, conference held in Dublin, Ireland.
• He was invited as a Guest Lecturer by the Armed Forces Medical College, Poona for many years.
• Also was invited as key note speaker at Bombay Orthodontic Society study Group and The Madhya Pradesh State Dental Conference & Continuing Education Programme, Jabalpur in 1994.
• He has conducted a Lecture-Cum-Hands on Course on "Removable Appliances" at the 49th I.D.A. Conference held in Ludhiana in 1995, for the General Dental Practitioners. In the month of January 2002 he was Invited as a Guest faculty member at the 6th Indian Orthodontic Society, All India Post Graduate Student`s Convention held in Mysore on the 24, 25, 26 January 2002 on Tip-Edge. The Highlights of the Tip-Edge Technique was published by him in a Manual for Students.
• He has always taken a special interest in the area of Preventive & Interceptive Orthodontic Procedures, from the Seventies.
• He was invited as a Guest Speaker at the 5th Asian Association of Preventive Dentistry & 24th Indian Association of Paedodontics held in Chandigarh, India to speak on the "role of Preventive/Interceptive Orthodontics in Today's changing Orthodontic Scene" on the 13th of November 2002.
• He was invited to deliver a lecture to general dentists in Navi Mumbai at Pad. Dr.D.Y.Patil Dental College on Preventive & Interceptive Orthodontics which included a special talk on the use of the various types of Trainers from the Myofunctional Research co. Australia.
• His work with the Relatively New Tip-Edge Appliances in Dealing with the Treatment of difficult Malocclusions has been appreciated in England and Europe and Australia.
